Sleeping lesser than 5 hours can make you gain weight and increase your waistline. The more you are awake, the higher are the levels of stress hormone which leads to a major increase in the appetite. Less sleep produces low leptin, a hormone that suppresses your appetite.

You cannot think well and concentrate on things without sleep. You must have proper sleep for a good memory. Sleeplessness or waking up frequently during nights can lead to fatigue which will result in the poor ability to memorize information.

Men and women who don’t sleep well tend to have lower libidos and show lack of intimacy, says research. Men suffer from lower testosterone levels, which can lower their libido. Lack of sleep can reduce the libido levels by as much as 10 to 15 per cent.
