A day after J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti met PM Modi, the latter on Sunday said loss of any life in Kashmir is India’s loss.
Addressing the nation in the 23rd edition of Mann ki Baat, PM said Ekta (unity) and Mamta (affection) have been the cornerstones of all his discussions with leaders on the recent unrest in Kashmir.
“Those who are using small children to fuel violence in Kashmir will some day have to answer them,” Modi said, referring to those of who are allegedly inciting the youth in the Valley.
Mehbooba Mufti, after her meeting with PM yesterday, also slammed Pakistan for inciting violence in the Valley as the death toll in the violence reaches 68 and more than 40 days of curfew and protest shutdown cripple life in the state.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Saturday, said that he is nominating 22 of his parliamentarians as special envoys to raise the Kashmir issue on various international platforms, including at the United Nations (UN).
Kashmir has been paralysed since security forces killed Hizbul Mujahideen leader Burhan Wani in an encounter there on July 8. Curfew, protest, shutdown has bad affected life in Kashmir for 51 consecutive days.
