'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion': Karan Johar announces official release date

In 'Baahubali 2', Rajamouli will give answer to the most asked question, "Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?"

The answer to the most asked question in 2015 Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyo mara? (Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?) - will be revealed on April 28 next year.

Top Bollywood director Karan Johar, who has bought the North Indian distribution rights of the Hindi version of 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion', has confirmed the release date for the film as 28 April, 2017, on Twitter.

'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' is a much awaited film of the next year. This SS Rajamouli directorial movie stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Ramya Krishnan in lead roles. 'Baahubali: The Beginning', which was released in 2015, was a huge box office hit and grossed over Rs 600 crore worldwide.

In 'Baahubali 2', Rajamouli will give answer to the most asked question, "Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?".

It is reported that the makers spent around Rs 30 crore just to shoot the climax sequence. A source close to the unit said: "The climax features an awe-inspiring battle sequence that will last for about half an hour in the film. It's going to be even more grand and dramatic than the battle scenes in the first part."

Karan also revealed that his home banner Dharma Productions along with AA films had purchased the rights of Hindi 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'.

While Karan Johar announced the date of official release of the movie, actor Rana Daggubati, better known as Bhallaladeva, has revealed the likely release date of the film's theatrical trailer.

Speaking about the sequel 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion', he was quoted by a newspaper as saying, "We are just wrapping up the film now and it should be over in sometime. After that, I am guessing the first promo should be out this year-end or at the most in January for sure. I don't know if it will be a teaser but the theatrical trailer will be out there definitely by January."
