Banjo Trailer: Riteish Deshmukh all set to Rock as a Banjo Player

Riteish Deshmukh will next be seen in Ravi Jadhav directorial film Banjo as a Banjo player with Nargis Fakhri.

Riteish Deshmukh is all set to rock his upcoming solo hero film Banjo, directed by a famous Marathi director Ravi Jadhav. Banjo is a musical drama wherein Riteish will be seen playing the character of a Banjo player and Nargis Fakhri will be seen as a DJ.

The movie is about the musical instrument Banjo and the people who play it. In this film Riteish is potraying a Banjo player. Dharmesh Yelande of Dance India Dance fame will be seen playing the role of Riteish’s band member . He and Dharmesh Yelande make their living by playing banjo at Ganesh processions in the movie.

Riteish looks awesome as a street rockstar and gets to romance Nargis Fakhri, who plays leading lead in the film. Nargis portrays the character of a lady DJ who takes Riteish and his band mates’ group to international fame.

The film’s trailer launch on Tuesday was attended by real Banjo players as the film portrays the life of Banjo players in India. The trailer launch was attended by Lalbaug Beats, a Banjo group from Lalbaug area of Mumbai and they are also portrayed in the film.

Banjo is produced by Krishika Lulla and is written by Kapil Sawant, Nikhil Meharotra, Ravi Jadhav. Music for the film is composed Vishal – Shekhar, who had earlier worked with Ravi Jadhav in his Marathi film Balak Palak.

Nargis Fakhri made her Bollywood debut in 2011 in the movie Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor. She is known for her work in Madras Cafe, Main Tera Hero, Azhar and Housefull 3.

Though Riteish started his career in 2003 with Tujhe Meri Kasam, he was not seen much in solo lead roles. Now he is making a comeback with his solo lead role in Banjo. The movie is expected to hit silver screen on 23 September 2016. Let us wish him all success.
