Bar fire in France’s Rouen kills 13
A fire incident at a bar left 13 people dead in the northern French city of Rouen on Friday evening. Six others were also injured in the incident, a local newspaper reported.
The fire started around midnight at a bar where young peoplee, between 18 and 25 years old, had gathered to celebrate a private birthday party in the northern city of Rouen, ‘Paris-Normandie’ newspaper reported. Firefighters responded to the emergency and declared 13 people dead so far.
The fire was allegedly caused by an accidental explosion on site, the publication reported.
The authorities expect the death toll to rise, the newspaper added.
