Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi on Saturday meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and held a delegation-level talks later in the day in New Delhi.
Swaraj met Wang Yi and discussed “issues of mutual importance”.
The two sides then held delegation-level talks, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said in a tweet.
On Friday, Wang met Goa CM Laxmikant Parsekar on Friday to review the logistics and security arrangements for Chinese President Xi Jinping’s proposed visit in October to the coastal state for the BRICS summit. The minister is on a three-day visit to India.
Wang was among the first foreign ministers to be welcomed in India after the Modi government took office in May 2014.
