“All metro lines will be fully functional on August 15. All trains will be available for passengers from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m.,” Delhi Metro spokesman Anuj Dayal.

Dayal added that no station will be closed on the day.

However, parking lots at all metro stations will be shut from 6 a.m of Sunday to 2 p.m. on Monday for security reasons.

Parking areas will be cleaned during the brief closure period during which the authorities have also planned an inspection drive.

The parking facilities will not be available from 6 AM on 14th August till 2 PM on 15th August in view of the security measures adopted on the occasion of Independence Day,” an official said.

Amid the series of attacks in crowded places around the world, security measures have also been beefed up in the national capital ahead of the Independence Day.
