Om Namo Venkatesaya is an upcoming Telugu devotional film, which is directed by Raghavendra Rao. The movie is set in 18th century and is based on the life of Baba Hathi Ram a devotee of Venkateshwara and will be featuring Nagarjuna Akkineni and Anushkha Shetty in lead roles.
South Indian actress Anushkha Shetty will be seen in a new avatar in this much awaited devotional film ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’. She will be seen portraying Krishnamma, a Tamil devotee of lord Venkateshwara and the actress looks stunning in a traditional avatar in the firt look poster of the movie, released yesterday. It’s heard that Anushka’s plays the female protagonist and she takes the story forward.
Tollywood actor Nagarjuna is playing the role of Hathram Baba, who is a great devotee of Lord Venkateshwara. This drama film marks the fourth devotional venture by Nagarjuna and Raghavendra Rao. The film also has Saurabh Raj Jain, Pragya Jaiswal and Vimala Raman playing supporting roles.
Anushkha was earlier seen portraying iconic roles in her films like Arundhati, Panchamugi and Baahubali. ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ is Anushka’s fifth collaboration with actor Nagarjuna after super, Don, Ragada and Damarukam.
Director K Raghavendra Rao on Saturday took it to Twitter and revealed the first look of Anushkha Shetty in the upcoming film ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’.

‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ is being produced by A Mahesh Reddy under the Sai Krupa Entertainments banner. The Cinematography for this film is handled by S Gopal Reddy, while music is scored by MM Keeravani. First schedule of this devotional film started in July 2016 and is expected to release in 2017.
