In a shocking news that has sent shock waves in the political circles of Arunachal Pradesh, former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul was found dead at his residence in Itanagar on Tuesday. It is believed that he committed suicide.
According to reports, he was down with depression after his appointment as the Chief Minister was struck down by the Supreme Court.
The 47- year-old had led the rebel faction of the Congress against Nabam Tuki. Pul was the chief minister from February to July 2016 after the state was put under President’s Rule.
The Supreme Court last month intervened and reinstated the Congress government led by Nabam Tuki headed the government and dismissed the Pul-led government backed by the BJP and Congress rebels.
Tuki later on stepped down to pave way for Prema Khandu to become the Chief Minister of the Congress government.
