Homely plants that naturally keeps the mosquitoes away
For planting around the doors, lemon/citronella grass - it looks great, and smells great too.
There are several plants you can place around your property that are supposed to repel mosquitoes naturally. Some of these include:

• Lemon Balm
• Tea tree
Basil (tulsi): The tulsi plant is seen in most Indian house hold or is used by cooks in most parts of the world. basil has properties that repel mosquitoes.
Marigold: A bright, hardy annual plant, marigolds are a great choice for repelling mosquitoes. Marigolds contain Pyrethrum, an ingredient found in many insect repellents, and they have a unique aroma which bugs find repulsive.
Lavender: You probably know that lavender is a gorgeous purple flowering plant with a soothing, calming scent. But, did you know that it is also a natural mosquito repellent?
Mint, Citronella, Ageratum, Catnip are some plants that too repel mosquitoes and other bugs.
Lemon grass. The strong citrusy odor of Lemon Grass, while smelling superbly fresh, is also a natural musquito repellant. It grows easily in small planters and is quite easy to maintain. An excellent choice for patio, home gardens and outdoors - keeps them smelling fresh and keeps mosquitos at bay.
If you have indoor mosquitoes, also recommend window screens, checking the plumbing to make sure there are no leaks where the bloody little pests can breed, and putting some repelling plants outside the doors to deter the mosquitoes from getting in when the doors are opened.
