Jennifer Garner made a surprise appearance at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Garner and her young costar Kiley Rogers accepted the choice drama movie award for their roles in Miracles From Heaven, a film where Garner plays a real-life Texas mom Christy Beam in a story related to a miraculous recovery of a girl with rare disorder.
While accepting the award, she thanked Kiley by saying, “Thank you, this is for this little lady. That’s for you.” And she thanked everyone in TCA: “Thanks to everyone, we were definitely the underdog in this category. That’s so exciting. It’s amazing to us the impact this movie was able to have, and have all your guys appreciate it means the world to us.”
She also thanked and wished, “All the kids who are in a hospital waiting for a miracle, don’t give up hope!”
Her appearance came up as a surprise because rumours making the rounds were that Garner and her now-separated husband Ben Affleck were on a ‘reconciling vacation’ in Turks and Caicos, where they had married in 2005.
Actress-singer Victoria Justice and wrestler-turned-actor John Cena hosted the 18th annual event and was broadcast live on Fox television.
