Women are going to love 'Rustom': Akshay Kumar
"There are a lot of incidents put together and one story has been made. It is not about one persons incident," he says about the movie
Actor Akshay Kumar, who will be seen next in ‘Rustom’, said it is a romantic film and bears no similarity with any other movie.
“There is no similarity with any film. There are a lot of incidents and that is why there are many questions - is he a patriot, a traitor or a murderer? So basically I would call it a romantic film,” he said in an interview, while talking about his eponymous character in the film.
When questioned if he feels any pressure or a responsibility to be a part of a film that’s based on a real life story, he said: “It is based on true incidents, it is not based on one incident. So, it’s like there are a lot of incidents put together and one story has been made. It is not about one person’s incident. I will tell you one thing about this film is that I have seen the film, it’s a film that women are going to love.”
The actor also spoke about the fictional aspect of the film. “Well, just to show that one incident can match the other incident, just to bring that continuation is a fiction, otherwise, everything is real,” he said.
'Rustom' also stars Ileana D’cruz as Rustom’s wife and Esha Gupta playing a negative character.
