Telugu star Pawan Kalyan’s fan killed by Jr NTR’s followers
Rivalry between fans of Telugu superstars Pawan Kalyan and Jr NTR led to killing of a fan of Pawan Kalyan at Kolar in Karnataka.
An argument over the caliber of the two Telugu superstars led to the scuffle.
According to police, Vinod Kumar, an active member of Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party, was reportedly stabbed to death by Akshay after a heated argument between the duo.
Vinod, a die-hard member of Telugu super star Pawan Kalyan, had left home in Tirupati to attend an organ donation drive at Kolar jointly organised by Junior NTR and Pawan Kalyan fans.
At the event, 24-year-old Vinod praised Pawan Kalyan and offered to extend the programme to Tirupati, which angered Jr NTR fans and led to the scuffle.
Police said the incident happened at a bar in Narasapura, where in a fit of anger Akshay stabbed Vinod to death.
Akshay was arrested later.
On Thursday, Pawan Kalyan went to Tirupati to meet Vinod’s family members and extend his condolences.
Pawan Kalyan is the brother of popular Telugu superstar and former union minister Chiranjeevi. Pawan Kalyan launched his own political party during last Lok Sabha election.
Junior NTR is the grandson of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and South Indian actor NT Rama Rao (NTR). Junior NTR is a popular figure in Telugu cinema, who carries the legacy of NTR, along with Balakrishna, NTR’s son.
