Weeks after suspected militant group United Liberation Front of Assam kidnapped an Assam BJP leader’s son, a shocking IS-like video has been released by the group.

The video shows BJP leader Ratnaswer Moran’s son speaking while a group of five heavily armed masked militants stands around him.

The group, reportedly, demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore for setting him free.

Kuldeep, son of Tinsukia district panchayat vice-president Ratneshwar Moran, is also shown pleading to his father, mother and the Chief Minister of Assam to rescue him.

“I have been abducted by ULFA-I and they are taking me to many places,” said the youth who is seen kneeling down in the video.

“I have become very weak and my health has also deteriorated. I am afraid I might die in cross-firing,” he said.

Kuldeep was reportedly abducted by the ULFA militants on August 1.
