Watch: Adele dismisses Pregnancy rumours and will not Perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show
Multiple Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter will not be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show and reveals a lot more on the stage in the concert at Los Angeles and during Saturday night.
In between the rumors that Adele will perform at the Super Bowl halftime gig, she confirms affirmatively that she was asked to do it but she won’t be doing so.
According to Variety, Adele said to the crowd during the show, “First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really — I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I said no.”
She further adds, “I have no reason to be on tour, I came here to see you.”
For the pregnancy rumors, Adele agreed that her favorite concert pose was to placing her hand on her tummy. “I keep patting my stomach like I’m pregnant,” she said setting upon the crowd. Adele clearly puts the idea that there is no second baby for now and said, “I know I’m not Beyoncé, I’m not dancing or anything like that but it’s a bit grueling. I can’t be pregnant and travel this much.”
Although on 14 August 2016, NFL and Pepsi stated the following joint statement,“The NFL and Pepsi are big fans of Adele. We have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else. We are focused on putting together a fantastic show for Houston and we look forward to revealing that in good time.”
Adele hilariously turns down rumours she is pregnant : “F*****g stupid rumors. People are so fucking stupid, I tell ya.”
The Super Bowl is on Feb 5, 2017 and is taking place at Houston’s NRG Stadium which would be will be aired on Fox.
