Watch video: UK band ‘The Vamps’ sings Hindi for a single “Beliya”
The British boy band ‘The Vamps’ who recently collaborated with the great Bollywood composer duo Vishal and Shekhar, for a single – ‘Beliya’ – showed up on the sets of The Stage 2.
The composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar has given many hit tracks to Bollywood audience. The song ‘Beliya’ was released on 16 August on YouTube. It has Vishal and Shekhar jamming with the UK band consisting of Connor Ball, Tristan Evans, James McVey and Brad Simpson. What makes us go gaga over the song is when the boy band sings the Hindi lines from the beautiful song ‘Jaisa Mein Hu Waisi Hai Tu.’
‘The Vamps’ shared this beautiful song on their Facebook page and they were praised by millions and their page was filled with amazing compliments.
Vishal Dedlani who is leading vocalist of Indian Rock band Pentagram said that India does not lack band culture but there is a need to promote it to mainstream.
As reported in a leading daily, Vishal Dadlani who would also be judging ‘The Stage’ said that “There is no lack of band culture. If you go to Shillong, Kolkata and Bengaluru… some of the best bands in India are based out of Delhi. They are phenomenal bands. There is no independent mainstream, so, we have to create that but in last five years things have really changed.”
‘The Stage’ is Colors Infinity’s first English music reality show. The season 2 of The Stage will be premiered on 17 September this year and will have legendary musicians like Vishal Dadlani, Monica Dogra, Ehsaan Noorani and Devraj Sanyal on the jury panel, while Shibani Dandekar would be seen as the host for the reality show .
