Ae Dil Hai Mushkil trailer: Ranbir Kapoor portrays new generation love
In typical Dharma style, writer-director Karan Johar excels in portraying relationships and staying true to his trademark, the #ADHM trailer is filled with emotions, but most importantly portrays relationships in the best way possible.
The teaser, that was released a while ago, has the audience waiting eagerly to know what director, Karan Johar has in store for them. We are used to watching an older hero romance a younger heroine. But, here, Karan Johar has managed to do the opposite – older heroine romancing a younger hero.
The trailer shows our hero, Ayan (Ranbir Kapoor) narrating his personal love story saying, “Love tedha hai”. He is in love with Alizeh (Anushka Sharma), but she, on the other hand, is content with the friendship she shares with him. She goes on to fall in love with a handsome bearded man Ali (Fawad Khan) and spots a tattoo of his name. When Ayan learns about him through her tattoo, he is heartbroken.
In the narration, he speaks about the introduction of a third person in a relationship –”Kisine aapko sahi chaata mara hai? Phatt! Usi chaate ko ishq kehte hai. Aur who chaata aur jhor se padta hai jab koi tisra aa jata hai.” He meets Saba (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and is smitten by her beauty.
In a twist of events, Alizeh, who later realises that her love for Ayan, ends her long-standing relationship with Ali and returns to Ayan. But, content with his present relationship, he tells Alizeh, “Mujhse pehle jaisi mohabbat mere dilbar na maang.”
Although Ranbir and Anushka portray the new generation love, his chemistry with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan works better. From this trailer, we can finally say that Ranbir Kapoor is back with #ADHM. This is high on emotion with an element of comedy, celebrates friendship, heartbreak and love.
The film releases on October 28, 2016.
