Apple is expected to bring its next generation Apple iPhone 7 to the Indian market on September 26. The company launched its next generation iPhone internationally on Wednesday at the Graham Bill Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

A leading daily has quoted a source who knows about the development as saying, “We are already preparing for the launch of iPhone 7 as the shipping dates from the US is expected to be somewhere between September 15 and 19. We should have the phones by September 26.”

According to sources from industry in India, Apple iPhone 7 is likely to start at a price of Rs 63,000. Apple is now increasing its focus on Indian market as it is the fastest growing and second largest smartphone market in the world.

During the first nine months of Apple’s business year, iPhone sales in India reported a 51 per cent increase in sales, with sales in India crossing the $1-million benchmark for the first time in last year. Though there has been a considerable increase in sales, yet it accounts for less than 2 per cent of Indian’s total smartphone market share.

Apple is expected to launch two new iPhone i.e iPhone 7 and 7 plus, along with three Apple watches. This will be seen in five colours: rose gold, gold, silver, blue and black.

The source quoted above added that, “The iPhone 7 Plus will come with dual cameras and there are no external design changes for both the phones as they will look like the 6S.”

Apples also plans to launch two new watches by the second half of 2016, which would be an improved version of the existing Apple Watch model. The Apple Watch model will come along with GPS, barometer and few other new features.

The source also mentioned that the company would be launching MacBook at a separate event. “We didn’t get any updates on the MacBooks and it is expected to be launched separately.”

Apple also has Retina MacBook Pro on its cards.
