BMC asks Rs 5-lakh bribe, is this acche din: Kapil Sharma complains to PM Modi

The comedian-actor, who has over 6.2 million followers on Twitter, tweeted his complaint tagging PM Modi. He said he had to pay Rs 5 lakh as bribe by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for his new office that is under construction.

Kapil Sharma, arguably one of the best stand-up comedians in the country, has complained to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he had to pay Rs 5 lakh as bribe to the BMC for getting approval for an office in spite of paying income tax regularly.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, reacting swiftly to the tweet, responded to Kapil, asking the details of the officials who asked for the bribe.

“Kapilbhai pls provide all info. Have directed MC, BMC to take strictest action. We will not spare the culprit,” Fadnavis tweeted.

Following the CM’s tweet,  BJP MP Kirit Somaiya from Mumbai Morth East constituency tweeted saying, “It pains to here experience of #KapilSharma to Slum Dwellers of Bribe @ Mumbai MunicipalCorporation V shall Free BMC from Rule of ScamMafias.”
