Bush Sr. to vote for Hillary this time, claims former Maryland Lt. Governor
Former US President George H.W. Bush is reportedly planning to vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton in the November election, disregarding his party’s presidential candidate Donald Trump.
As claimed by a Facebook post of former lieutenant governor of Maryland Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, a daughter of Robert F Kennedy, the former Republican President would prefer the nominee of the Democratic Party this time.
Accompanied by a photo of her with the former president, the FB post read as: “The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!”
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, the second son of H.W. Bush, had suspended his Presidential election campaign earlier in February. Following this, Bush Senior and his elder son and the former US President, George W Bush, had took a stance not to endorse Donald Trump.
A number of prominent Republicans including former U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marín and former commerce secretary Carlos Gutierrez also have already announced their support to Clinton, turning their back on party’s nominee.
Meanwhile, various surveys have revealed that a majority of Indian- Americans are most likely to support Democratic party in the coming election.
Conducted by Asian Americans Advancing Justice, Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote, and Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Data, a recent survey shows that Hillary Clinton has the most net favorability among Indian-Americans, while Trump is viewed very unfavorably.
