Cricketer Turn Fashionista Yuvraj Singh Unveils His Line of Clothing Under the Label YWC

After Yuvraj Singh had heroically battled cancer and inspired millions of fans by establishing an NGO called YouWeCan. Cricketer, Yuvraj Singh, has now decided to launch his new business, a line of sports and athletics apparels with the label YWC. The profits incurred from this clothing line are going to be donated to Yuvraj's own NGO. "The idea came out of me looking for ways to fund my NGO. That would be the sole purpose of the clothing lineup," Singh conveys.

While he introduced his plans and brand Yuvraj explained "It would be an athletic fashion clothing line for men, women and children. While 70 per cent would be men's fashion the rest would be women's. The brand foresees to close somewhere around Rs 25-30 crore in topline in the current financial year and we see it becoming a Rs 100 crore brand in three years,". He also added, "We are confident the brand would find takers both offline as well as online. I am not worried about sales, I am confident about the line-up and am pretty sure sales will pick up. Last two years, we have done a lot of R&D on fashion and we know we have a great line-up."

Sports apparels by YWC are going to be sold online as well as offline. While they will be up for purchasing on the brand's own website, the items will also be made available on the online shopping, fashion website owned by Flipkart, Myntra had previously expressed that they wished to add more brands of textile and merchandise owned by celebrities. As of now, fashion lines owned by Deepika Padukone, Virath Kohli, Rithik Roshan and now, Yuvraj Singh are the public figures who have collaborated with

Apart from selling his merchandise, Yuvraj Singh has said the the plans on launching his line of clothing, into the market, by mid-September and will make them available in India across 25-30 stores.  These sports wear are not only going to be available in popular urban cities but also in others, "I would be also opening my flagship store in Chandigarh. After seeing the response we would increase the number of flagship stores in the near future," Yuvraj said.

Many B-town celebrities and sports players attended Yuvraj Singh's YWC Fashion show and they seemed excited enough to be updating their social media websites as they watched Yuvi's line of clothes being showcased on the ramp. Amongst those who took to Twitter to congratulate Yuvraj and wish him luck were, Amitabh Bachchan, Amir Khan, Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and the former as well as current members of the Indian cricket team.
