Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid pardons 488 Prisoners on Eid Al Adha

On the occasion of Eid Al Adha, His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has ordered the release of 488 prisoners to give them a opportunity to follow the right path and start a new life

The Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the ruler of Dubai, His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has ordered the release of 488 prisoners who have been imprisoned in Dubai’s punitive and corrective institutions.

This royal order has come during the occasion of Eid Al Adha, when the ruler believes that the prisoners must be given another chance at turning a new leaf and starting their life on a better note. 

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid in his royal order wished the prisoners be given a new opportunity to follow the right path and start a new life.

Officials also conveyed that on this auspicious occasion, well wishes all the families of the prisoners a better life once their loved ones return home. In the words of the rulers’ representatives he wishes to “alleviate the suffering of their families”.

Dubai Attorney General Essam Al Humaidan stated that Dubai’s Public Prosecution office has taken immediate measures to implement Sheikh Mohammed’s directives, which reflect His Highness’ keenness to give the prisoners the opportunity to follow the right path and start a new life.

Al Humaidan further stated that the Public Prosecution has started coordinating with Dubai Police to implement the directive and will do all to guarantee that all the released prisoners could join their loved ones soon. He added that the royal order will have a positive impact on the families of the pardoned prisoners who will have the opportunity to reintegrate into society. The Dubai leadership, according to Humaidan is keen to provide all that is required to strengthen the social fabric of the emirate.
