One of the biggest television award function, the 68th Annual Emmy Awards, aired on ABC and it was as if everything in the world had come to a momentary halt as the fans were glued to the TV to watch their favourite stars walk the red carpet, win awards and celebrate their victories. Apart watching the stars receive awards for their respective fields, the other thing that the fans looked forward to were the appearance of their favourite actors and actresses.
Here is a list of 10 actresses who donned beautiful gowns and set the red carpet on fire with all their sass.
1. Emilia Clarke
Queen Daenerys Targaryen from the famous television series written by R.R. Martin, The Game of Thrones, showed up at the beige Atelier Versace. No effort was required by her to pull of this elegant look.
2. Claire Danes
Although her fake tan may have received mixed reviews, the shimmery golden floor length Schiaparelli gown that she wore had the paparazzi turning heads. She even showed off her dress to give the fans a little peek of what the dress looked like from the back. Some claimed that the actress from the TV show Homeland who was also nominated this year for Outstanding Lead Actress, looked a little like the Emmy Award herself.
3. Kristen Bell
Her floral printed Zuhair Murad gown seemed like something from the tales of enchanted woods.
4. Priyanka Chopra
The Bollywood turn Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra decided to show up in everything red this year as she matched the red carpet with her Jason Wu one shoulder dress.
5. Sofia Vergara
The actress from Modern Family decided to accompany Emilia Clark as she too donned a fish-cut dress from Atelier Versace.
6. Laverne Cox
The actress from Orange is the New Black wore a golden shimmery v-neck dress by Naeem Khan which has a slight trail at the back. Her bronze hair and golden clutch completed the look.

She just made it to the list of hottest mummies-to-be after Blake Lively, Kerry showed of her baby bump in a black, slit from the waist, Brandon Maxwell.
8. Emily Ratajkowski
The actress wore a glamorous mid-night blue, mermaid gown by Zac Posen, and her look was complete with smokey blue eyes and chandelier earrings.
9. Sarah Paulson
This year she went for a shimmery, emerald green Prada gown with sleeves till the elbow. She wasn’t seen wearing much jewellery except for the earrings. Paulson’s dress was a statement in itself.
