Google on Monday confirmed the launch of it’s all new Google Pixel smartphone in an event on 4 October this year.
As reported by a leading tech website, the new Smart phone will be launched at 9 am local time in San Francisco.
Images of this new Google Pixel smartphone, have been leaked and the images have been shared by Android Police, which showcases a fingerprint scanner at the back as well as similar camera panel and design as shown in the earlier images of the TPU cases for the smartphones. Even the front panel of these Smartphones can be seen in the leaked images.
As per a rumour circulated by Android police, the starting price of pixel smartphone has been leaked. It says that the five inch model would start at a price of $649 which is roughly Rs. 43,500. Though the website claims that it’s from a trusted source yet we cannot rely completely on this piece of information as no other sources has reported about the price.
A report had earlier suggested that this rumoured five inch pixel smartphone, that was earlier code named as ‘Sailfish’, would be launched at a price of $449 which is roughly Rs. 30,000. The report also suggests that Google might make financing options available to its users.
The company is going to launch two devices with a display of 5 inch pixel and 5.5 inch pixel XL respectively, with the smaller having 1080p resolution and the larger with a Quad HD display. The company is likely to include a 12MP rear camera, a 8MP front-facing camera. The Pixel to come is equipped with a 2770mAh battery and Pixel XL will have a larger 3450mAh battery capacity. These devices are likely to be running Android 7.1, an unreleased version of Android Nougat.
When it comes to storage capacity, the device base model is likely to be 32GB. Dipped in Bright blue, aluminum, and black, these Pixel units are expected to go on pre-order the same day as it’s launched.
