How hackers hack your iPhone, but there is a solution
So Hackers could load harmful contents to 'BMP' and TIFF formats and when you open it, that will be hacker tool and much enough to kill or hack your personal data. Meanwhile you can stay away from this by turn off iMessage and MMS.
So an alarming message for iPhone users. Ironically a text message is the hacker tool this time.
Its like a ring. Yes a beep tone of iMessage is enough to make all harm.
Images in the format of .tiff is meant to be very dangerous.
So experts are saying iPhone users to manually update their Operating system to prevent this hacker method.
Here, the image could be on a website or sent by email. Or just an MMS text message. All the attacker would need to know is your cellphone number.
Security team of Cisco recently said that "remote code execution vulnerabilities in Apple OS X related to processing image formats."

If you are using 9.3.3 OS on iOS or earlier than 10.11.6 for OS X, there is a chance to get effected.
To update on your iOS, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Tap "Download" and "Install." To update your desktop or laptop OS, click on the "Apple" menu and select "Software Update."
So far the attack is theoretical at this point and there have been no reports of it being used.
Its better to udpate ASAP by using Apple supporting page instruction than being lazy.
Who is affected:
iPhone user with an iOS version older than 9.3.3
Mac OS X user with a version older than 10.11.6
How to fix:
update your iPhone:
1. update your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update
2. "Download and Install"
3. Allow the process to finish.
Plug phone in while updating or have at least a full battery to avoid interruptions.
update your Mac:
OLDER VERSIONS: Click the Apple menu and select Software Update and follow the process.
