A team of high-profile Israel security and counter offensive experts arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday, even as the country is searching for options to respond to the audacious attack on Uri Army base last Sunday.
According to the source, the 20-member team is currently engaging in serious discussions with government officials and military commanders, taking all available options into account.
The latest terror attack on Indian Army’s Uri base in Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 17 Indian soldiers, has further strained India’s relation with its nuclear-armed neighbour.
Having many argue for a befitting reply to this attack, the government is now looking for a perfect response. As many expect a military strike inside Pakistani territory in response, experts dismiss the possibility of an open war.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Army has canceled the leave of its personnel deployed along the Indo-Pak border in J&K and Punjab following the latest conflict, the Indian Express reported.
The headquarters of the Pakistan Rangers in Lahore issued these directions, expecting a retaliation from Indian border forces, highly placed sources in the Army revealed.
