Jaguar Land Rover India Wednesday announced the launch of its XF sedan. Jaguar said its ex-showroom price will starts at New Delhi Rs 49.50 Lakh.
Company has started the booking for the new second generation car already. The 2016 Jaguar XF is the first-of-its kind from the Indo-Brit automobile maker to hit the Indian market with a new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine.
On the occasion of new Sedan launch, president of JLR India, Rohit Suri said, “Over the years, Jaguar XF has gained immense popularity and success in the Indian market and we are excited to offer the all-new Jaguar XF to our discerning and distinguished customers passionate about owning a Jaguar.”
The car delivery will begin at the end of current month, added officials.
The new model will be available to customers in India under for below mentioned engine categories, said Jaguar: 2.0-litre (177bhp) Diesel Pure for Rs 49.50 lakh, 2.0-litre (177bhp) Diesel Prestige for Rs 55.90 lakh, 2.0-litre (177bhp) Diesel Portfolio for Rs 62.10 lakh, 2.0-litre (237bhp) Petrol Prestige priced at Rs 55.65 lakh and 2.0-litre (237bhp) Petrol Portfolio for Rs 61.85 lakh.
The new brand of XF has a unique huge mesh grille, large air intakes and newly designed LED headlamps which have been reworked into LED DRLs.
XF has a brand-new aluminium-intensive iQ platform.It helps to hold the XE and the F-Pace SUV. Having aluminium has helped in reducing weight of the car compared to its previous models. The new model weighs only just 1,687kg.
Also its platform is 28 % sturdier than previous models of the Jaguar.
As for interiors, its dashboard and the steering wheel have been upgraded to conform to the bigger sedan, the XJ.
Its top-spec variants have a 10.2-inch InControl Touch Pro system. The new sedan has a top brand Meridian sound system also.
It is having a 380W sound system along with 11 speakers which is in line with the Prestige derivative but its digital 825W sound system has 17 speakers which are standard on the Portfolio version.
