Jim Carrey accused of transmitting STD to ex-girlfriend
Jim Carrey is banishing the claim that he transmitted STDs to his late ex-girlfriend as a malicious attempt to fetch money from him. The death of his late girlfriend is just turning nasty! Marty Singer, who is the lawyer of Carrey said TMZ that Mark Burton revising a lawsuit with the accusation that Late Cathriona White had contracted 3 forms of STD from Jim is “categorically disputed. This is a desperate, bogus claim made by the ‘husband’ of the sham marriage.”
The husband of Jim’s ex-girlfriend, who had claimed that Carrey illegally provided Cathriona with powerful drugs which she used to kill herself on last September has now revised the complaint on Thursday accusing Jim that he infected her a sexually transmitted disease.
Moreover, the new suit now says that Carrey, 54, gave White, 30, STD and then lied about it. He then dumped her when she brought the matter to him.
In the documents acquired by TMZ, Mark Burton claims that Cathriona had got tested during February 2013 and “discovered she had Herpes Type I, Herpes Type 2 and Gonorrhea.” He claims,“Jim tried to pressure her to keep quiet about it, which she did.” Currently, his lawsuit is now consisting of texts between Jim and Cathriona. It includes the ones about the STD’s and even though it is unclear how he reached to them.
Singer said that many of the witnesses will confirm that Burton was “engaged in an illegal sham marriage in violation of the Federal law prohibiting marriage fraud to evade immigration laws.” The lawyer even claims that Burton and Cathriona didn’t even live together in the same state after their wedding.
Carrey’s attorney further says that the STD claim has allegedly made in the year 2013 which makes no sense because Cathriona got in contact to Jim in 2014, begging him to carry on their relationship, and they were working to an agreement as well. Singer also states that, Carrey already mentioned that he will NOT settle with Burton and would fight what they call a “shakedown lawsuit.”
