Lenovo Z2 Plus to be unveiled in India on September 22
Lenovo, leading mobile manufacturer said on Saturday it will launch the Z2 Plus model in the Indian market on September 22. The new model is likely to be named Zuk Z2, added Lenovo.
The company, said it will be launched at a promotional event in New Delhi, after coming with teasers about the new launch for last few days in social media. However, it is still not clear if the new model will be similar to the Zuk Z2 model.
This codel is currently being sold in the Chinese market by Lenovo. It is yet to be seen, if the new launch comes up with any changes.
But, the buzz is that the hardware of the model is going to be the same but software may have some changes.
Sources say, the new Z2 Plus hardware is likely to be very powerful. It is believed to be the most powerful phone, ever launched by Lenovo in India.
The new model has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and also a 5-inch FullHD screen. It also having a 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera, added sources close to the launch of the product.
The smartphone will make use of a Android 6 aka Marshmallow. Android Nougat is the most recent version of Android, but hardly we will see the Z2 Plus shipping with Nougat.
A good news for Indian customers is that, this time they get to use the product within a few months after its global launch, unlike the previous version Z1, that was launched after one year of its global launch.
The company is yet to come with an announcement on the price of the Z2 Plus. But the Zuk Z2 is priced around $270 in China, and it may be priced almost similar in India too.
If so, then Z2 Plus may cost customers close to Rs 20,000, making it the cheapest phone using Snapdragon 820.
The Z1 was priced at launch less than Rs 14,000. The Z2 Plus is likely to have a regular price in India.
