Wearing fitness trackers around the wrists have become somewhat of a trend. It is one of those technologies that people are catching on to at a surprisingly accelerating rate. As the fitness fever spreads, demand for these fitness tracking smart watches is growing at the same pace.
TomTom, a Dutch company, has launched a new fitness tracker in the market called TomTom Touch activity tracker. Along with the usual tracking of footsteps and heart beats, TomTom is also capable of calculating your body fat and muscle mass. These features will function constantly to provide you with the results that your daily workout routine yields.
This new fitness tracker is designed to be worn round the clock throughout the week and to perform its functions, as and when a change is noticed in the body.
Besides keeping a track of fitness data, TomTom Touch activity tracker also tracks sleep. All the functions are recorded and stored, with complete analysis on the fitness tracker’s smartphone application, which is available on both iOS and Android.
TomTom has been famous for its GPS and tracking devices. Recently, it entered the industry of wearables.
IFA introduced this new Touch fitness tracker, which is being pre-ordered by fitness lovers across the globe, and will be up for grabs by October this year.
Along with the Touch, TomTom has also unveiled seven new products, including Satnav Systems and Adventurer, a GPS watch.
Touch by TomTom is available in four appealing colours, black, peach, grape-purple and sky-blue. The design is rather similar to other fitness trackers with an elongated, slim screen.
The only other fitness tracking wrist apparel in the market, which can compete for this new product by TomTom, is Fitbit. However, Touch has it’s own unique qualities which makes it popular amongst its consumers.
