President Mukherjee on a 3-day visit to Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand Governor K.K. Paul would be hosting a dinner for the President on Tuesday night
President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday will land in Dehradun for a three-day visit to Uttarakhand.
According to officials, the authorities have made elaborate security arrangements for the President's visit and police official and other security has been beefed up at places where he is slated to visit.
On his first day of the visit, President Mukherjee, as per IANS report, will inaugurate a building 'Aashiana' at the Presidential Bodyguards' campus at Rajpur road in Dehradun. Following which, he will also lay the foundation stone of 12 new units and after a brief stopover would proceed to Raj Bhawan.

On Wednesday, President Mukherjee is scheduled to leave, with family, for Kedarnath shrine on an Indian Air Force chopper. In the list of his itineraries, Mukherjee after his Kedarnath shrine visit, will host a high tea for dignitaries and local VIPs at the Raj Bhawan on Wednesday.
On Thursday, he will attend the Ganga Aarti on the banks of the river at Haridwar. His stopover in Haridwar would be for two hours. He is set to leave for Delhi on Thursday in a special plane from the Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun, an official informed IANS.
According to a report in TOI, extensive dress rehearsals were carried out in Dehradun on Monday. At the same time, the police teams kept a close eye on the activities at Har-Ki-Pauri in Haridwar, where the President is scheduled to go on the third day of the visit for Ganga Aarti.
"A full dress rehearsal was carried out and it was ensured that the security forces remained at the spot allotted to them. Besides, the senior police officers, DM Dehradun Ravinath Raman too was a part of the inspection team," SSP Sadanand Date told the newspaper.
