Watch video: Donald Trump denies knowing Vladimir Putin on ‘Tonight show’
US Presidential hopeful Donald Trump denied knowing Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding that “I don’t have any feelings one way or the other” to Putin.
Responding to Jimmy Fallon on his funny comment about the celebrity ‘bromamce’ among duo, nicknamed ‘Vlump’ and his sympathetic attitude to the Russian premiere, Trump clarified that he hardly knows the guy.
Watch Trump’s comments on Putin and plans for election:
With a smile on his face, he said, “I don’t know him, I know nothing about him really. I just think if we got along with Russia that’s not a bad thing… I don’t like him, I don’t dislike him, I don’t have any feelings one way or the other.”
Trump even allowed the host to mess up with his famous hairstyle, when Fallon made a joke that he could reduce 15 pounds by visiting his barber.
Fallon began the show asking Trump about his campaign trail, that will come to an end in about eight months, if it is “getting real” and asked him “Do you still want to do this?”
Trump responded, “We’re doing well,” “It’s been really a lot of fun and it’s an amazing movement all over the country. It’s been incredible, so, no, it’s been an honor for me, I have to say.”
Trump reiterated his trade mark quote that he wants to “help people.”
Then Fallon’s enquired about how his experience of running a business empire actually helped him in his campaign trail.
Finally, he asked about the tycoon’s favorite Monopoly properties.
Trump said, the media is very hostile and vicious, adding that “They do try to pin me into this and I’m saying to myself, ‘I don’t even know him,’”
About his alleged rapport with Putin he said, “All of a sudden they make it like he’s my best friend.”
Trump told the host that he wished the US presidential debates happen with out any moderators like the famous Lincoln-Douglas debates.
But, Fallon has come under fire, after airing the show for being very friendly to the Republican candidate and avoiding important issues in the show.
This was the third time Trump had appeared in the Fallon Show.
