The actress from Koi Mil Gaya and Veer-Zara, Preity Zinta had tied the knot with an American financial analyst, Gene Goodenough earlier this year on 29 February 2016. They had managed to keep their wedding in Los Angeles, rather secretive. The beans only spilled when fans noticed a series of messages on social media from B-town celebrities, wishing the newly wed Mrs. Priety Zinta Goodenough a happily married life. Amongst those who congratulated Zinta on social media were, Farah Khan, Sushmita Senand Kabir Bedi.
Although, the secret had been let out soon after the wedding, there were no pictures and videos posted by the couple on social media or on media for the world to see, as they still wished to keep their private lives as far away from the public eyes as possible. Although, in March, Priety had posted a picture on Instagram, wearing the traditional bangles that newly wed brides in India are accustomed to wear. Where she expresses that the only thing different about being married is wearing those bangles.

After the wedding in Los Angeles, Priety Zinta and Gene Goodenough had a wedding reception in Mumbai on 31 May 2016, where gene was introduced to Zinta’s Bollywood family. Donned in a red gown paired with the wedding bangles standing next to Gene who wore a tuxedo, the two looked rather adorable.
All the efforts by Priety and her husband, for keeping their wedding a secret, were in vain as the paparazzi was quick to catch up with them as soon as they set a foot in India. While there was not coverage of their wedding, the reception had been covered in a lengthy manner. Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Sophie Chowdry, Shahid Kapoor with Mira Rajput and Karan Johar were some of the faces that were seen at the reception.
Well, finally the wait is over, as Priety Zinta and Gene Goodenough’s wedding pictures are out on social media and have set the internet on fire. Might we say the Preity looked like a traditional Indian bride while Gene pulled of the Indian look all too well. It seems like one those Rajput portraits extracted from the books of history.
Surely it was moment of celebration when the 41 year old finally got hitched and a few moves during the rituals were a must! She decided to stick to the red theme throughout her wedding scene. Some might say that her look was quite simple and nothing special, but Zinta looked rather elegant in those Kundan jewels.
Clearly, the couple decided to keep it traditionally Indian all the way!
