Could you give a brief description about your business and yourself?
Our Company Ferropan Oilfield Services & Supplies L.L.C is one of the leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction ) Company in the UAE which provides services to most of the ADNOC group of companies. After completing my master degree in engineering, I started working with Madras Fertilisers, India. I also worked with SABIC , Saudi Arabia; and ADNOC, Abu Dhabi before I started my own venture.
I am married to Aruna Shanthi and blessed with two daughters and grandchildren. Thanks to the UAE government both daughters studied up to 12th standard in Abu Dhabi and later moved to India. One of them became an Engineer and another one, a Doctor.
Being a successful businessman with a hell of a lot of responsibilities, how could you find time for family and friends?
Yes, it is a challenge. However, thanks to the latest communication and travel facilities, we could manage both business and family by taking short breaks. I never mix up office work with family. I believe in my subordinates and delegate work to them to avoid missing the precious family time. I always try to spend weekends with my family and get time for my other social activities.
You are well known as a community person and also very generous. Has anyone inspired you to be so?
Dr Abdul Kalam’s life and his teachings have given me immense inspiration to be a socially responsible man. I am fortunate to have great gurus from whom I learned the art of finding happiness in doing service to the society.
Who is your role model in your life?
My Father in law. Even at an age of 82, he is managing his business in India, doing social services, and travelling a lot to reach people.
As an India residing outside the country, What is your Diwali message for our readers?
