Air Arabia bags “Low Cost Airline of the Year” 2016
Air Arabia, the popular Airline of Middle East and North Africa has clinched the “Low Cost Airline of the Year” at the Aviation Business Awards 2016 here in Dubai. The award ceremony held at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai marked the 10th edition of the prestigious event.
Awards were given away in 15 categories, such as airline, airport and cargo sectors to highlight the feats of major airliners in the region to honour their immense services for the growth of the region’s aerospace industry.
The event is considered to be the the biggest programme for the entire Middle East’s aerospace industry.
Air Arabia, launched in October 2003 was the first and biggest budget airline of the region. It still to remain a major airline of the region in terms of number flights and volume of passengers.
While accepting the award, Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, Air Arabia, said: “We are proud to have won this coveted title at Aviation Business Awards 2016. The airline now conducts flight operations to 120 destinations in 33 nations across the world from five hubs from the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
