A day after the high drama in Samajwadi party that saw differences between Chacha and Bhatija bursting into open, Dimple Yadav, wife of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, sought to broker peace in the warring family pleading her husband as well as Shivpal Singh Yadav to resolve their differences for the sake of the family.

Insiders in the family told this reporter that what happened in the party office when Shivpal Singh Yadav snatched microphone from Akhilesh’s hand did not go well with Dimple. “In the evening when Mulayam Singh complained of uneasiness, doctors were summoned to examine the Samajwadi Party patriarch. Then Dimple took charge. She called Akhilesh and spoke to Shivpal Singh as well and informed about Mulayam’s health,” the source said.

The source even said Dimple was seen crying pleading Akhilesh not to put family pride at stake for the sake of Chief Ministership. She called Shivpal Singh Yadav and pleaded not to drag this issue any further. The proposed meeting of the core group was cancelled immediately.

“It was then the Chief Minister came to 5 Vikramaditya Marg residence of Mulayam along with Shivpal Singh Yadav in the same car,” he said. “It was the nice end of a hectic day which began with sparring and ended with a thaw in the relation between chacha and bhatija,” he said.

What happened on Monday evening found reflection on Tuesday morning as Shivpal Singh Yadav told media: “Sab kuch thik hai party mein bhi aur parivaar mein bhi. Mujhe jo Netaji ka adesh milega main maanunga, ( Everything is fine in the party and in the family. I will obey any directive of the party president Mulayam Singh Yadav)”.

On Tuesday morning, Shivpal met Mulayam Singh Yadav again. Sources say a reconciliatory formula has been found according to which the four ministers who were sacked last Sunday would be taken back. It is also believed that all the expelled Youth leaders, considered to be close to Akhilesh Yadav, would be taken back.

Akhilesh Yadav said that he has asked party cadre to start the election campaign after Diwali. “Everything has been settled,” he said.

SP spokesperson Deepak Mishra too claimed that party was united and all the issues have been resolved.

On the other hand, SP MLC Ashu Mallick has lodged a FIR against UP minister Pawan Pandey today for assaulting him inside the CM residence yesterday.
