Apple finds high tech fix for iPhone 7 “home button stops working” issue
The launch of Apple’s new iPhone 7 has been the most talked about event in tech world in 2016. While Apple has benefited enormously due to the bad publicity owing to security concerns over Samsung Note 7’s battery issue and subsequent recall by the company.
Adding to the speculations over its new features, Apple said, the new iphone is radically different from previous iphone 5 and 6 versions.
Sources said, Apple has replaced the “click” mechanism with a hi-fi solid-state one and new gadgets IP67 waterproof rating is one of the new changes.
It makes use of Apple’s “taptic engine”, for improving the functions of home button. The reason behind such a drastic and revolutionary move is that “taptic engine” has no moving parts.
As reported by tech website MacRumors member iwayne, the feature was first observed when iPhone’s home button started misfiring. He said, a message had appeared on the screen after device is turned off while charging.
When the member began to restart the gadget, the home button started to work for some time, but later showed the warning message for 3-4 time. He said, later he restarted gadget again, after which it completely stopped functioning.
The website said, it is a welcoming feature by the Apple as, those facing problems from defective phones, the new feature is indeed a good thing, as the gadget could be used for interim period.
Now, what the users are expecting is that Apple will finally replace the home button in upcoming model iphone 8 in favor of a hi-fi screen for the gadget.
As per experts, the iPhone 7 can do innovative programming that will control the Taptic Engine-powered feedback which had been embedded into.
It is now rumored that the new iphone will offer a solution in the form of a temporary workaround when its new diagnostic software finds out that the new hi-tech technology is playing up.
