Diwali is a special occasion for Indians all over the world. It is one of the celebration which Indians from all part of the world keep that close to their heart. Wherever Indians have a presence, they do never miss celebrating this festival of lights. Indian communities in the UAE are also busy with getting ready for Diwali. UAE is home to more than 2 million Indians which constitute the largest part of the expatriate community in the country. So, during Diwali, UAE will also be lit with the joyous mood it radiates.
Sultan Al Hajji,Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Total E&P UAE, is perhaps one of the senior and experienced UAE nationals to tell us about how UAE observes these Indian festivals. He is in a senior management role of a company which has staff from about 50 different nationalities. They speak about 25 different languages. So as he has to lead a workforce that has a mix of diverse culture, obviously including Indians, Sultan Al Hajji has an in-depth knowledge of India and its culture, tradition and festivities.
