In a horrifying incident, four men, including two teenagers were brutally injected with petrol in their private parts and beaten up in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad on suspicion that they had stolen a mobile phone.
According to media reports, the brother of a local Samajwadi Party leader, identified as Rizwan, is among the two who have been arrested and charged with “unnatural offences”, besides other crimes.
The incident happened on October 14. Rizwan, who runs a dairy, suspected four young men from his neighbourhood of stealing his mobile phone and called them to his shop.
A senior police officer said two teenagers and Fimo and Firoz, both 25, were subjected to hours of beating and torture. Rizwan was joined by his two friends Akil and Nadeem to beat and torture the four people.
The report said they allegedly filled syringes with petrol from Rizwan’s bike and injected the four victims multiple times as they screamed and nearly fainted with pain.
Police said the two teenagers were in a critical state, adding that both had major surgeries to help with their body functions until they heal completely. Rizwan and Akil have been arrested and their friend is missing. The two had been arrested and another booked for thrashing and injecting petrol in their private parts, on suspicion that they stole a mobile phone.
According to the latest report, a 16-year-old boy, who was one of the victims, told the police about his horrifying ordeal, revealing how they begged their perpetrators for mercy, but their appeals fell on deaf ears.
The victims pleaded with folded hands, claiming innocence, but to no avail, Hindustan Times reported.
“All of us were sobbing and pleading with folded hands, saying we did not know anything about the missing mobile. But they caught hold of us three and called out to one person to draw the petrol from his bike,” said the victim.
