The star attraction of the event is the new Pixel and Pixel XL phones.  Pixel phones will finally replace Google’s Nexus phones. (With no branding or tags on Nexus phones.) Google already started a marketing drive for Pixel phones.

It will be available in market in two sizes: The Pixel and Pixel XL, with similar looks except for their size. The smaller one will have a 5-inch display, but the larger Pixel XL is having a phablet-class 5.5-inch screen.

Overall, the spec is having all the new tech features we can expect from a premium end high-end Android phone.

Premium design:

The new models are manufactured by HTC and look identical to iPhone. They are likely to have aluminum unibody designs. But they are havingfingerprint scanner on backside and not on the front, like Nexus 5X and 6P released in 2015.

Premium pricing:

Pixel phones are likely to be priced high as per their premium status.
As reported by Android Police, the starting price will be around $649, placing them in the same price range of the best smartphones from Apple and Samsung.

Android 7.1 Nougat:

The brand new Pixel phones will be launched along with Android 7.1 Nougat. Already an update to the Android 7.0 is out in the market last August. Pixel phones are likely to have some extra features like a new app launcher and icon design.
