How to know whether you’re talking to a smart person through their body language
First things first! Smart people do have fast reflexes to their surrounding actions. They absorb the best and ignore useless information! Period!
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
- Restless hand: People who tend to play drums on their legs or you can see them drumming on a desk with their fingers, this could be a sign of anger or impatience. If you are talking to someone or lecturing some children and they are drumming their fingers on the table, you have to know that you are not really getting through them, and at this moment you have to switch tactics.
- How close someone is to you: This is a body language indicator that many people don’t notice; if someone is comfortable with you, then they won’t mind sitting or standing near you, else, you have the answer!
- What usually smart people do: Smart people won’t act irresponsibly, and they do not heavily rely on others. You can know them just by observing how they act.
- The last indicator to mention is EYES, those eyes can be more powerful than any other body language indicator as they reflect all our emotions we feel on eye-in-eye contact, so take care of what your eyes will say about you.
