Terrorist killed an Indian soldier and mutilated his body during an encounter in Machhal sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday, the Army said early on Saturday.
Following the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar have been briefed about the incident of an Indian soldier being killed and his body being mutilated by terrorists who crossed the Line of Control.
The terrorists, which were given cover fire by Pakistan army, on Friday night crossed the Line of Control in Macchil sector of Kupwara district of Kashmir, media reported. One of the attackers was killed by the Indian army, which has said that the incident will be “responded to appropriately”.
He said the incident reflected the barbarism pervading in official and unofficial organisations in Pakistan. “The incident will be responded to appropriately,” he added.
