Right after successful release of ‘Don 2’, Farhan Akhtar had announced the sequel ‘Don 3’ and since then, it is unmistakably the most highly anticipated sequel of all time.
In 2011, Farhan Akhtar had pulled a major casting coup by getting Shah Rukh Khan to play the iconic character of ‘Don’, originally portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan, in his remake.
The response was such to SRK getting back to being the anti-hero that the film immediately generated a massive fan following, much more enormous and widespread than its predecessor, resulting in an equally successful sequel.
In such joy and success, Akhtar had announced ‘Don 3’ right after the sequel release, but soon enough he began concentrating on his acting career and filmmaking took a backseat.
So, in a pleasant surprise, if things are as they seem to be Sidhwani might just have dropped a major hint on the status of the film.
If all goes well according to his hashtags, Farhan could well be returning to the director's chair to helm Shah Rukh Khan at his most iconic avatar. However according to the reports, he has told a popular daily that he was more focused on his acting projects and thus, it was not confirmed if he would direct Don 3.
In the case of ‘Jungli Billi’ Priyanka Chopra from ‘Don 2’ the reports doubt that she will be a part of the sequel. She has been busy working on western shores, and therefore, won’t be returning to reprise her role as Roma. However, media reports have suggested that Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandez had been touted as potential replacements, courtesy their extremely agile physicalities. Katrina had also expressed her keenness to be a part of the film.
Fans, hold on to the excitement for the official announcement of the much awaited ‘Don 3’!
