ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has suffered fatal poisoning along with three of his group members, a media report has said. Food prepared for the IS captain and others were secretly poisoned by an assassin in Nineveh’s Be’aaj district, The Daily Mail reported quoting an Iraqi news agency. The report says four IS members, including Baghdadi, were suffering from serious poisoning and “have been transferred to an unknown location under strict measures”.

The terror group has started search for the person who dared to endanger their chief. The information of the remaining three members is not known.

The ISIS, a breakaway section of the al-Qaeda, emerged as an independent and arguably the deadliest and wealthiest terror jihadi organisation in the world under the leadership of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The ‘Caliph’ of the Islamic States, as called by his followers, is careful to keep his movements known only to his close ones who keep on changing his locations to avoid airstrikes. Baghdadi has been reportedly wounded many times before and many times speculations spread that he is dead but he has re-emerged every time.

The IS, that was just a terror organisation, became a ‘state’ across Syria and Iraq under al-Baghdadi, who has been targeted by the US many times. Earlier in 2016, speculation spread that he has been killed, which was clarified even by Iraqi officials but later confirmed as false.

“We received accurate intelligence information stating that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and three senior leader of the so-called ISIS Shura Council, suffered from food poisoning, after eating a poisoned meal.” reported news website Sputnik. “Baghdadi and the three injured were taken under heavy surveillance to an unknown destination,” Sputnik reported.

Al Baghdadi was born in Samarra, north of Baghdad, in 1971, and his real name is Ibrahim Awad Ibrahim. He was officially designation by the US as “terrorist” in 2011. The US has offered a reward of $10 million for any information about him, which could help to catch him alive or dead.
The IS became infamous by their capital punishments to their captives like western media persons and civilians, all were beheaded and stoned to death sadistically.
