Jayalalithaa is 'progressing' and 'interacting', says hospital
The hospital said that she continues to be under treatment and observation for all vital parameters, respiratory support and passive physiotherapy
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is "interacting and progressing gradually", Apollo Hospital Chennai's director of medical services said in a statement on Friday.
The hospital said that she continues to be under treatment and observation for all vital parameters, respiratory support and passive physiotherapy.
“The team of experts of the Critical Care Group, Senior Cardiologists, Senior Respiratory Physicians, Senior Consultants of the Infectious Diseases Department, Senior Endocrinologist and Diabetologist of Apollo have been giving treatment and care to the CM,” the statement read.
Jayalalithaa's condition has been closely monitored by Apollo Hospital experts ever since she was admitted to the facility on September 22.
Her health has been a major cause for concern in the state. AIADMK supporters are still holding special prayers across Tamil Nadu for her recovery. Opposition parties in Tamil Nadu have urged the ruling party to release a video or pictures of Jayalalithaa to end rumours about her health.
The AIADMK on Thursday had said that its ailing leader was “completely well” and will return home soon.
