John Abraham to produce two Malayalam films soon

Bollywood’s handsome heartthrob John Abraham is all set to make his debut in Mollywood film industry soon. Reports suggest that he is entering his paternal state’s film industry not as an actor, but as a producer.

John is a half Malayali by birth, as his father Abraham John hails from Aluva in Ernakulam district. John’s mother Firoza Irani is from a Mumbai-based Zoroastrian family.

In a recent interview to a popular channel, John Abraham confirmed that he has plans to produce two Malayalam films in the near future. The names of these films and its star cast, not yet revealed. But he added it be shared with media soon. John also stated that he would like to make special appearances in his Mollywood ventures.

John made his production debut in 2012 with the Bollywood super flick Vicky Donor, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam. Vicky Donor won the National Film Award for Best Movie Providing Wholesome Entertainment, along with Anwar Rasheed’s Ustad Hotel.

John later produced several Bollywood films including Madras Cafe and the upcoming Bollywood flick Force 2. The film has John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.

The actor also said that he was extremely excited about entering the Malayalam industry, as it’s best known for its quality cinemas.

In an interview given to a Malayalam channel, John said he and his mother were big fans of veteran Mollywood actors Mohanlal and Mammootty. He added that Malayalam cinema is so evolved and he has grown up watching Malayalam films.

The actor also admitted that he missed a few recent Malayalam films like Mohanlal-starrer Oppam and Prithviraj-starrer Oozham.
