After much loved Kahaani, Vidya Balan has brought another soul-chilling thriller as Kahaani 2.
The history of what is now Kahaani 2 goes way back, as Rani Durga Singh, the protagonist Vidya Balan plays, was Sujoy Ghosh’s dream character and had to undergo numerous cast changes. Finally, after long discussions and keeping aside the differences, the duo of Vidya Balan and Sujoy Ghosh brought the much-awaited Kahaani 2 on floors.
Vidya Balan makes a marvelous return with the intriguing and nerve-wracking trailer of the movie. Right from the opening shot, you get to be on your toes, and till the end, every moment is unexpected and interestingly shocking.
The amazing ensemble of characters with Kharaj Mukherjee returning as Inspector Chatterjee in this installment and Arjun Rampal replaces Satyoki “Rana” Sinha, played by Parambrata Chatterjee in Kahaani, and is led by power-packed acting of Vidya Balan.
The trailer opens with Vidya’s character receiving a phone call informing that her daughter Mini has been abducted, and then you are bound for one amazing journey where you will be jolting out of your seat in every few seconds because the twist wasn’t what you expected.
Mini’s claim of “Wo mujhe raat ko sone nahi deta” gives chills with the little girl’s empty eyes and innocent face taking away your breath. As Arjun Rampal’s character turns each page of the diary, opening every new card to the story, the empty page and Vidya’s character’s scream of “Mini” is set to tug at your heart.
As the scene unfolds and Arjun Rampal’s character comes to know that Vidya’s character is WANTED under the charges of kidnapping and murder, the trailer picks up the rhythm with the hints at what the movie holds for the audience gripping their seats.
The soul-gripping two minutes and 34 seconds of the trailer make you restless for the complete story, which will be out on December 2. Till then, we have to rack our imaginations to expect what magic Vidya Balan is set to create this time.
