Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar conferred with Jewel’s of World Muslim Biz Award
Famous Kerala based Islamic scholar, Markaz Chancellor and All-India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama general secretary Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Jewels of World Muslim Biz Award 2016’ recently in Malaysia.
Aboobacker Musliyar received the international award from Malaysia’s Minister for Financial Affairs Jouhari Abdul Ghani at the recently concluded 7th Muslim World BIZ Business held at capital Kuala Lumpur.
While conferring the award on Aboobacker Musliyar, the organisers said he has been chosen for the award considering his lifelong vibrant endeavours in educational, Intellectual, and social realms that helped communities across India and the poor and the marginalised sections especially among the Muslim community.
The jewels of Muslim World Biz is an international event for promoting innovative ideas in terms of global education and trade. The event is held annually and has been organized under the aegis of OIC International Business Centre, Muslim World Biz.
The event has been endorsed by the the Government Malaysia and also by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, said the organisers here in Kuala Lumpur.
Aboobacker Musliyar is a popular figure in Kerala’s social and religious circles and also a renowned Islamic scholar of contemporary times in India.

In recent years, he has come with a famous call to all his followers and denounced them saying that “militant groups such as the Islamic State (IS) are trying to defame a religion that advocates peace and tolerance“.
Last year on the occasion of the diamond jubilee celebrations of his Sunni Yuvajana Sangham (SYS), the Islamic scholar has also denounced the brutal act of beheading of Egyptian Christians in Libya. He also criticised militant attacks on children in a school in Pakistan’s Peshawar province.
He termed the attacks as anti-Islam, saying the attackers have stayed away from the basic tents of Islam that “it is a religion of peace”.
