Apple also has reportedly filed a trademark infringement case against a firm Mobile Star LLC after Amazon blamed them for providing spurious Mac accessories.

Media reported that many e-commerce sites such as Amazon are now selling old and unusable accessories like defective cable to Apple customers.

Some of the counterfeit Apple products made by them were so close to original and Amazon became a prey to them. Apple admitted that this firm’s products may damage Apple products as they pose safety issues.

All these products were sold by Amazon directly and not through third-party vendors. Apple admitted about 90% of iPhone devices, Apple power products, and also lightning cables sold are ‘original Apple products’ via Amazon.

Apple fears that it will damage its brand name in the iphone market as these accessories found to perform badly and could damage the iphone or Mac.

Apple has demanded to remove all false products from the market immediately or face legal action from spurious companies selling Apple products.

Apple has begun action to demand compensation of $2 million from Mobile Star. After this move by Apple, Amazon has ordered a clean-up drive and removed all fake products from its online platform.

Amazon said, “ Amazon has zero tolerance for the sale of counterfeits on our site. We work closely with manufacturers and brands, and pursue wrongdoers aggressively.”

Other smartphone sellers are also expetected to take strict measures against the spurious sellers soon, following Amazone’s lead.

So we suggest readers to ensure that you buy all your Apple products directly online or from Apple store to avoid being cheated or damaging valuable iPhones or Mac products.
