MS Dhoni’s Wife Sakshi Dhoni Charged under Sec. 420 for Multi-Crore Fraud Case
As Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic, M.S. Dhoni- An Untold Story sets high records with a revenue of Rs 112 crore, his wife has made it to news for a shocking reason. An FIR has been filed against Sakshi Dhoni under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in a fraud case.
According to a report in Dailybhaskar.com, Sakshi Dhoni along with Arun Pandey, Shubhawati Pandey and Pratima Pandey is a co-director of Rhiti MSD Almode Private Limited, which has shares in Sportsfit World Private Limited, a gym and fitness centre.
The directors of Rhiti MSD Almote Private Limited had decided to buy the shares of co-director Vikas Arora of Sportsfit World, who owned 39 percent shares along with Dennis Arora.
Dennis Arora has filed FIR against the directors of Rhiti MSD Almote Private Limited allegedly claiming that while the agreement was for Rs 11 crore approximately, the directors have paid only Rs 2.25 crore so far, and missed the March 31 deadline of clearing the dues. According to the report of India.com, the complaint has been filed against Sakshi Dhoni and her co-directors at the Sushant Lok Police Station in Gurugram.
In response to the complaint, Arun Pandey, one of the co-directors, claimed that they had already paid for the shares Vikas Arora transferred. He claims that there is no question of making a bigger payment as they have not received the agreed upon shares by Arora. Reportedly, he added that Sakshi had left the company a year ago, and therefore, the case couldn’t be filed against her. As the case is pending for arbitration after the Delhi High Court’s order, no FIR should have been registered, he added.
Police are investigating the matter, where in no comments have been made from Sakshi’s side. There is no confirmation of Sakshi’s involvement in the case yet.
